• One of the first things I advise a new client, whether it is a new construction or a remodel project, is to develop a wish list of criteria they are looking to achieve. This helps everyone begin to create a basis for the project.
  
• Would you like a new look to your space? Simple, De-Clutter! Don’t have things because a client or a relative gave them to you. Have things around that you want and that represent your space.
  
• Gradually become green. As you begin to remodel your space, replace the materials with eco-friendly materials, such as flooring, furniture, and wall covering.
  
• After you hire your design team but BEFORE construction begins verify each contractor and subcontractor has supplied you with updated insurance information.
  
• BEFORE you issue final payment on your project ensure that you have lien waivers from each contractor and subcontractor has supplied you with updated insurance information.
